Melissa, I love the title of your post, and we are both pondering the same qisotuen lol. So far I plan to start writing for other publications about nudism, women and body issues. Also planning to do some outreach this summer at various events and outings! Like the World Naked Bike Ride for example. Another idea is doing a women's-only event. Plus if you do organize a top-free gathering in your area this spring/summer, we'd be happy to publicize it!

My need/reason for having my cell phone with me is retlaed to my job.  I work for a manufacturing company that runs 24/7 in multiple sites across the country. I routinely have to be on call and must always be available in case of software issues that can cost millions of dollars if not corrected quickly.  All I want to be able to do is CARRY my cell phone with me, in a enclosed way (zipper pocket of my towel, a bag on a string around my neck). I don't want to get it OUT and USE IT, but I must be able to look to see if a text or phone call from work has come in.I respect the desire of my fellow nudists/naturists to not be concerned about pictures or perhaps worse.. having someone sitting by them while they are relaxing in the warm sun who is constantly talking, texting, gabbing, with someone one the phone.  Perhaps even just across the pool!  UGH  But what is the harm in carrying my phone, in a pouch? Then if a text or call comes in, removing myself to a designated  use' area to make/receive calls and respond to texts.I agree with Melissa however, the true problem is BEHAVIOR not technology.

I completely udenrstand the need for privacy and respect for others's personal space, but that doesn't justify banning technology that younger people need to do their jobs in today's world. I've always maintained that technology would help bolster club memberships via pictures or blog posts. That doesn't mean clubs can't survive without tech, but this problem will not go away before the last club does. In compromise, I do like the idea of a pouch or carrying case and restricted zones. I don't bring phones with me poolside because of the water. I could also see electronic devices restricted to inside tents, cars, or RVs. What about signing agreements that taking photos of non-consenting members would result in instant bans?
